![]() ![]() ![]() I can already imagine forgetting to close the sport cap on my Kleen Kanteen and pouring water on everything. The bags aimed at women (such as the Beis and the Lo & Sons) seem to all have a vertical sleeve, but unisex and men’s bags go sideways. But also, the Errant is one of the only packs on the list that allows you to slide it vertically onto rolling luggage. The two top contenders right now are the Boundary Supply Errant and the Modern Dayfarer, but I freely admit this is in large part because I think they look cool as hell, and I’m already fantasizing about flicking that magnetic Fidlock buckle on the Dayfarer over and over. Two water bottle side pockets is a major bonus, so I can use one for a different drink or an umbrella. (Plus they’re expensive and I don’t really vibe with the style.) I’m definitely looking for more of an urban city style than a sporty backpacker look, which rules out a lot of the usual contenders (such as ULA Dragonfly). I cannot be bothered with unzipping the bag every time I want a drink. I also drink a lot of water and I need side pocket access, which rules out Tom Bihn. For London I will also be taking a rolling carry-on (not just one bag, sorry!), so a luggage sleeve on the backpack is a necessity. Now that I see the one-bag advantages, it sounds really appealing, but if I end up going that route I’ll probably get something more in the 35+-liter range. This will be for EDC in London or in my normal suburban life back home, so I don’t think I need more than 25 liters. If you’d like to help me find my true love, read on! It’s like when I first started getting into perfume and discovered there were hundreds, maybe thousands more perfumes and brands than I’d ever dreamed of. In looking for reviews, I fell down the one bag rabbit hole, and here we are. I started noticing backpacks everywhere, and asked a woman at the airport about hers, a Beis she loved. I was first lured in by a Facebook ad for Lo & Sons Rowledge, which looks cool but even on sale then it was expensive, and now is even more so. ![]() On the hunt for a personal-item-sized backpack for my upcoming trip to London in May. ![]()
